Soleil translated this comic into French under its original title.
Shitarou-kun* (死太郎くん)
Akita Shoten (秋田書店): Horror Comics (ホラーコミックス)
Shinsho-ban (新書版)
Translated into Spanish as Shitaro, the first title of Mangaline’s Coleccion Horror; and into French by Soleil as Shitaro-kun.
Also see Uwasa no Shitarou-kun below.
Eden no Saigo ni (エデンの最期に)
Akita Shoten (秋田書店): Horror Comics Special (ホラーコミックススペシャル)
B6
Translated into French by Soleil, as Le fin de l’eden.
Uwasa no Shitarou-kun (うわさの死太郎くん):
- v.1: Uwasa no Shitarou-kun (うわさの死太郎くん)
- v.2: Uwasa no Shitarou-kun Returns! (うわさの死太郎くんリターンズ!)
Gentosha Comics (幻冬舎コミックス): Birz Comics Special (バーズコミックススペシャル)
B6
Sequel to the Shitarou-kun series (see above).
Birz Comics is generally a boys’ label, but is occasionally used for girls’ titles as well. Having found no clear evidence either way, I’m guessing this is meant as a girls’ release simply because the original was.
Other Works:
Senno is probably better known in the U.S. for his adult titles, many of which (Valkyr, Sepia, Bizzarian, and Eden) were translated by Studio Ironcat under Sexy Fruit.
From the World Comics Special label of Kubo Shoten (久保書店):
- Yoru-hime (夜姫), reprinted as Cybele Bunko
- Present* (プレゼント)
- Akai Knife no Yoru (赤いナイフの夜)
- Valkyr (ワルキューレ) 1-2
- Secret Lady* (シークレットレディ)
- Ouma ga Horror Show (逢魔がホラーショー), reprinted in two volumes of Cybele Bunko
Kubo Shoten also published Alice in Labyrinth (迷宮のアリス) and Musée de la Mort (死の美術館), both apparently erotic horror titles, though not officially adult. Most recently, Shoujo Mandala (少女曼陀羅) appeared under Kubo's Amatoria Comics (あまとりあコミックス). Musée de la Mort was released electronically by the digital music company Compozila (コンポジラ), which appears to be dabblling in digital comics for cell phones.
From Cybele Publishing (シュベール出版):
- Sepia, reprinted in two volumes of Cybele Bunko, and then rereleased by Seirindo (青林堂)
- Eden 1-5, currently also being released by Seirindo
- Kagami no Kuni no Chizuru (鏡の国のちづる)
From Tukasa Shobou (司書房), under the Tukasa Comics and Viva Comics* (ビバコミックス) labels:
- Mayonaka no Lady* (真夜中のレディ)
reprinted under Bessatsu Ace Five Comics - Lady Eccentric* (レディエキセントリック)
reprinted as Cybele Bunko - Comic Action City* (コミックアクションシティ)
- Bizzarian (ビザリアン)
Other adult titles include Tatsumi Publishing (辰巳出版) ’s Cinderella Doll* (シンデレラDOLL); Majokko Märchen* (魔女っこメルヘン), from France Shoin (フランス書院); and, from Taiyoh Tosho (大洋図書)’s Potpourri Club Comics* (ポプリクラブコミックス), Yoru wa Fantasia* (夜はファンタジア). Shobunkan (松文館) published Bishoujo Sekai (美少女世界) and Musou Shoujo Kan (夢想少女館) under Bessatsu Ace Five Comics (別冊エースファイブコミックス). Meikyuu Hihou Kan* (迷宮秘宝館) was from Moeru Publishing* (モエールパブリッシング). He had a piece in Seiunsha* (星雲社)’s adult anthology Pote Potato* (ポテポテト) 1.
Senno’s title Koten Meisaku Shuu* (古典名作集), published by Seirindo, consists of adaptations of gothic short stories and also seems to be for adults. Four volumes have appeared: Sade 1-2, Tempest, Decameron, and Faust. Seirindo also published Chizuru Kidan (ちづる奇譚) 1-3 and Lesbian (レズビアン) 1-3. Yoshiwara Yuujo Eden (吉原遊女絵伝), put out by Leed Sha (リイド社) under SP Comics (SPコミックス), is historical fiction for an adult male audience. Leed Sha has also released Yoshiwara Yuujo Eden electronically.
Senno did the ladies’ comic Hyakumensou Circus* (百面相サーカス), from Tokyo Sansei Sha (東京三世社)’s My Comics. Bunkasha (ぶんか社) published his ladies’ horror titles Shi no Megami (死の女神), Kamakiri Onna (カマキリ女), and Meikyuu Circus (迷宮サーカス) under Bunkasha Comics - Horror M Series (ぶんか社コミックス・ ホラーMシリーズ). He also contributed to the Bunkasha anthology Horror M Petit: Best of Best (ホラーMプチ ベスト・ オブ・ ベスト). Kamakiri Onna was rereleased under Horror M Comic Bunko (ホラーMコミック文庫). The digital comic Kyuuketsu Reijou* (吸血令嬢), from Thirdline (サード・ライン), appears to also be ladies' horror. I.C. Entertainment translated Kamakiri Onna into English as Mantis Woman, and it has also been released in Spanish as the first volume of Public Square Books’ Manga Terror series, Falsas Apariencias. I.C. Entertainment also translated Meikyuu Circus into English as Labyrinth Circus.
He has done one boys’ title, Kuraku Natte Majo (くらくなって魔女) 1-2, from Sony Magazines (ソニー・マガジンズ), as well as participating in the anthology Anata no Tonari ni Aru Noroi Special: Yomi kara no Temaneki Hen* (あなたの隣にある呪いスペシャル 黄泉からの手招き編), published by Nihonbungeisha (日本文芸社) under G Comics, which appears to be aimed at boys as well. Kaii Jitsu Bunroku: Namanari-san* (怪異実聞録 なまなりさん), from the novel of the same name by Itiro Nakayama (中山市朗) and published by Media Factory (メディアファクトリー ), appears to be for a slightly older male audience.
Senno is credited for the English-language How To Draw Manga: Computones series published by Graphic-sha (グラフィック社).
Recenlty he seems to be experimenting with various electronic publishers. The short title piece Kamakiri Onna is available as the Amazon.com English Kindle ebook Mantis Woman, although the publisher is not specified. Three other works from the Kamakiri Onna collection have been released by the private self-publishing group Tyrellsha (たいれる社) as the Japanese Horror Theatre (ホラーシアター) 1 and the English Senno Knife's Horror Theatre 1. Tyrellsha has otherwise published short digital works that appear to be aimed at adults, including:
- Stille Nacht
- Sangeki Shiro* (惨劇城), or Castle in the Dark
- a digital release of Meikyuu Circus
- Hime (姫)
- TRANSDOLL
- Majo no Koibito* (魔女の恋人)
- Ayakashi Hime (妖姫)
Several works created jointly with Nekoi Rutoto (猫井るとと) have also been put out by Tyrellsha: Maid in Future, Alice in Underground, Ballet Mecanique, Yonaka no Byouin* (夜中の病院), and Möbius.
The adult color comic Ecole de Eden (エコール・ ド・ エデン) 1-7 was published electronically by Solmare Club (ソルマーレ編集部), apparently a division of NTT Solmare (エヌ・ティ・ティ・ソルマーレ).
Senno also illustrated a few ebooks written by others and published by Fusosha (扶桑社): In Mitsu: Ryoujoku Mensetsu* (淫蜜・ 陵辱面接), written by Anzu Yoshiwara (吉原杏), and Mite wa Ikenai (見てはいけない), Nani ka Iru (なにかいる), and the Kodomo-tachi no Sumu Ie* (子どもたちの棲む家) series, all written by Yuuki Tsuji (辻友貴).
