The contents of this reprint series were probably different from the earlier releases of the same titles.  But some of the included works clearly qualify as girls' horror, though others, like the title piece of the first volume, do not.

Other Works:

Akechi has had a few other works published under Hana to Yume Comics.  Onna no Juujika (女の十字架) appears to be realistic fiction, while Sample Kitty* (サンプル・ キティ) 1-4 and Sabaku ni Fuku Kaze (砂漠に吹く風) are both science fiction.  Sabaku ni Fuku Kaze has since been rereleased twice in two volumes, by Enterbrain under Beam Comix, and by Asahi Sonorama under Sonorama Comic Bunko.  Sample Kitty* was also released under Sonorama Comic Bunko, in four volumes.

Her other comics include Mainichi no Ceremony* (毎日のセレモニー) from Hakusensha Ladies’ Comics, and the science fiction titles Captain Cosmic* (キャプテン・ コズミック), published by Tokuma Shoten (徳間書店) under Animage Comics, and Shinigami no Hoshi (死神の惑星) 1-3, first published by Home-Sha, a subsidiary of Shueisha (集英社), under Eyes Comics, then rereleased in three volumes by Asahi Sonorama under Sonorama Comic Bunko.  Bunkasha (ぶんか社) published Nobara no Kuni (野ばらの国) and Enkou Shoujo (河童少女) under Bunkasha Comics - Horror M Series (ぶんか社コミックス・ ホラーMシリーズ), and Shoujo Ninpou Chou (少女忍法帖) under Horror M Comic Bunko (ホラーMコミック文庫).

She contributed the short comic Koufuku Desu ka?* (幸福ですか?) to the Jitsugyo no Nihon Sha (実業之日本社) anthology of works written by Yasutaka Tsutsui (筒井康隆) Tsutsui Manga Tokuhon Futatabi (筒井漫画涜本ふたたび).

Akechi also writes short fiction pieces, some of which were included in the anthologies Handsome Woman from Village Center (ビレッジセンター) and Mitsu no Nemuri (蜜の眠り), first released by Kosaido Publishing (廣済堂出版), but then rereleased by Kobunsha (光文社).
